We never sell your data or share it for ads. Axo has no ads and no tracking tools.
Learn as a guest and your progress stays on your phone. Sign in to keep a copy with us.
You sign in with a six-digit code we email you. We never ask for a password.
What you type or add goes to Google’s Gemini, through our server, to write your Bites.
Plus and Pro are paid through Apple, in the App Store. We never see your card or your Apple ID.
You → Delete account removes your account and your progress from our server at once.
Axo is made by Parcel Digital in Las Vegas, Nevada. This policy covers the Axo app and this website, getaxo.app. “We” and “us” mean Parcel Digital.
If you save your progress, you sign in with your email address. You can add your first and last name on the You tab. We use your email to sign you in and to send the emails below.
With an account, the app keeps a copy of your learning on our server, so it is safe and follows you to a new phone: your Paths and their lessons, what you told Axo about why you are learning and how much you already know, the Bites, checks and capstones you finished and your scores, your Keep Sharp cards, your XP and streak, the last day you learned, your daily goal, and whether sounds are on. Without an account, all of this stays on your phone.
The topic you type, your answers to Axo’s questions about it, and any material you add: pasted text, a file (PDF, ePub, text or Markdown), a link to a web page, photos of pages, or the name of a book. Axo uses these to build your Paths and to suggest what to learn next.
If you buy Plus or Pro, Apple takes the payment. Apple tells RevenueCat, the service that tracks subscriptions for us, what you bought. RevenueCat knows you by your account’s ID, a random code, not by your name or email. If you buy as a guest, it uses a random ID until you sign in.
We send your sign-in codes, one welcome email after you first save your progress, and an evening reminder when a streak of two days or more is about to break. The welcome and reminder emails use your first name and the name of your Path or your next Bite. To stop the reminders, email us.
This site has no analytics, ads or tracking tools, and sets no cookies for visitors. It remembers in your own browser whether you turned sounds off, and nothing more. If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address, the topic you typed (if any), the page you signed up on, the time, and your browser’s name and version. We use them only to tell you about Axo.
Our server keeps short technical logs: when a request came in, and any error. A few also note a book Axo researched or why a topic was turned down.
No location, no contacts, no advertising ID, and no tracking across other apps or sites. Axo opens your photo library only when you choose to add photos of pages, and gets only the photos you pick.
A few companies run parts of Axo for us. Each one gets only what its job needs.
| Who | What they do | What they see |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Sign-in, and the database that holds your account | Your email, your name and your progress |
| Google Gemini | Writes your Paths and Bites, reads photos and scanned PDFs, researches books on the web | Your topics and answers, the material you add, book names. Not your name or email |
| ElevenLabs | Turns lesson text into Axo’s voice | The text of your lessons |
| Vercel | Hosts this website and our server; stores documents and voice clips | Everything the app sends our server, and waitlist sign-ups |
| Resend | Sends our emails | Your email address and what each email says |
| RevenueCat | Tracks subscriptions | Your account’s ID and your purchases |
| Apple | The App Store and payments | Your purchases, and crash reports if you share them with app developers |
| Expo | Delivers app updates | Technical details such as your app version, nothing from your account |
| Open Library | Book covers | A book’s title and author, sent by our server |
Your lessons are written by Google’s Gemini models, called from our server, never from your phone. A request carries your topic, your answers and any material you added, not your name or email.
We pay for Gemini. Under Google’s terms for paid use, Google does not use what we send to train its models.
Photos of pages go to Gemini to read the text on them. We keep that text, not the photos. When you add a link, our server opens the page to read it, so the site sees our server, not your phone. When you name a book, Axo searches the web for it through Google.
Axo reads every lesson aloud in its own voice. The text of each lesson goes to ElevenLabs, which turns it into speech.
When you add your own material, our server turns it into plain text and keeps that text, so later Bites can be written from it. Your phone gets back only its title and a short excerpt.
Each document is filed under a code made from its own text, not under your name or account. Two people who add the same document share one copy. Voice clips are filed the same way: one clip per sentence, shared by everyone who hears it.
Because a document is not tied to your account, deleting your account does not delete it. To have a document removed, email us and attach it. We will find our copy and delete it.
Your account and progress: until you delete your account. Documents and voice clips: until we remove them; they are not linked to any account. Waitlist sign-ups: until you ask us to remove them.
Resend keeps a record of each email it sends for a limited time. Our providers may keep backup copies for a limited time after something is deleted.
In the app, open You and tap Delete account. The app says what goes and asks you to confirm. Our server then deletes your sign-in and everything on your account in one step: your profile, Paths, Bite results and Keep Sharp cards. It can’t be undone. If the server can’t finish, nothing is deleted and the app tells you.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Apple bills it, so cancel it in your iPhone’s Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions.
What stays: the documents you added (see above), RevenueCat’s record of past purchases, and emails already sent.
No account? Your progress lives only on your phone. Use Start over on the You tab, or delete the app.
You can use Axo without an account. With one, you can change your name, sign out, or delete your account at any time, all in the app.
To get a copy of your data, correct something, or ask a question, email us. Depending on where you live, the law may give you more rights over your data. Email us to use them.
Axo is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child under 13 has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
Everything between the app, our server and our providers travels encrypted. In the database, your data is locked to your account, so no other account can read it. Our secret keys stay on our server, never in the app.
We are in the United States. Our providers may store and process data in the United States and other countries.
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. For a big change, we will also tell you in the app or by email.
Email privacy@getaxo.app. Ask for a copy, a fix, or a deletion, and we will answer.
